Tankwa Tented Camp is situated in Middelpos, Northern Cape Province and offers 13 permanent ripstop canvas tents with a communal kitchen and lounge area. The tents share communal toilets and showers. Warm water is provided by a donkey system with wood. The Camp also has 5 en-suite chalets available. Each chalet sleeps 2.
The camp has permanent staff that can help you with accommodation and food. (Meal packs are available) For groups we can offer a campsite with ample camping space and communal ablutions. Limited electricity is supplied (good for cellphone chargers).
Enjoy a spectacular view and sundowner on the nearby hill (dressed to a tie compulsory – ties available at the camp) or a quiet evening at the Onverklaar Bar.
Off-road Riding
The camp has a 32km Enduro track (loop) on the farm and also various outrides, from a 200km half-day route to more adventurous routes – details at camp.
The reserve host a number of annual events, of which the “Bike & Fly Inn” attracts about 25 planes and many bikes every year. AfrikaBurn is hosted on a dry pan (April), while the other big fun event is BikeBurn in May – the camp hosts the annual Bike Burn in May.
